Energy savings for education sector

Energy savings for the education sector

How schools and colleges can benefit from low cost cloud-based building energy management.

Priva UK urges schools and colleges to adopt cloud-based energy management systems to save on bills and improve energy efficiency.

Introduction
Cloud-based energy management

Some schools have reported rises in energy bills of more than 300% in the last 12 months. To support the education sector in its quest for energy savings, Priva UK is encouraging schools and colleges to take advantage of the DfE’s recent £500 million (total) Energy Efficiency Grant scheme (made available to English schools).

A very small percentage of a School or College’s DfE grant funds will cover the set-up to a move to cloud-based building management. By moving to a cloud-based BEMs system, using a low-cost subscription-model, schools and colleges can save enjoy savings on energy bills and easier, more effective energy management.

"90% schools in England will have run out of money by the next school year as the enormous burden of increased energy and salary bills takes its toll"
