The Challenge
The current ISA main building has been there since 1996. In 2001 a sports hall was added, followed in 2014 by a new 8,000 m2 wing for four hundred extra students. Control equipment was required for those new rooms. After almost twenty years of use, the control boxes in the main building were also due for replacement.
Our Solution
Quintess, a company specialising in measurement and control, was commissioned to convert the existing system with Priva. Quintess converted ten control boxes and five heat pumps, and installed sixteen new air handling units, twenty extract fans and one hundred terminal unit systems. To manage all the infrastructure, the Priva Building Operator suite with Priva Alarms, TC Energy and BI Metrics was installed. These packages allow the customer to easily manage the system remotely and to monitor energy consumption. The
Result
Today, all ISA’s systems can be viewed at a glance using the Priva Building Operator app. Everything is connected: both heat and cold can be transported from one system to another. The entire HVAC system of the International School of Amsterdam is now being efficiently managed with Priva equipment.
